    • It took under a few minutes for @librerialondon to become my new favourite bookshop....The beautifully arranged yellow shelves, the range of titles and consideration taken in curating books made me love it! They obviously care about book covers! Tucked away in a corner near Brick Lane, I almost missed it but won’t be making that mistake again....I saw quite a few books I’d been meaning to buy or enjoyed reading placed near each other- even though they probably wouldn’t be in any other bookshop . The thematic shelving works a charm here, a brilliant selection of contemporary lit- fiction and non fiction. Got a lot of great recommendations from the staff (Thanks Lloyd!)....Walked away with Eugenia Cheng’s ‘The Art Of Logic’ and Teju Cole’s ‘Known And Strange Things’ but I’ll be back!     • Does anyone else have books that look like this? 📚📚 It all started when I allowed myself to be charmed by a second (or hundredth) hand early edition of James Baldwin’s Notes Of A Native Son. The yellowing pages, the old school Corgi Books cover and rough paper- couldn’t resist. Bought it in very good condition but then I carried it everywhere! Should have known better.     • Something a little different today to commemorate a special week! Little Baby Paperback turned one 🎉 My whole ❤️..... a good excuse to rummage through her shelves. Little Leaders: Bold Women In Black History was a gift to her from Daddy a while back. Obviously, I’m reading it too. Beautiful Illustrations by @vashtiharrison and pages highlighting some inspirational Black women up to modern day. 📚📚 So far, Zora Neale Hurston has been my favourite.     • A throwback- I remember reading this for ages. Read about seven other books while reading this one. Not sure why, it’s not boring and does have a kick to it- maybe because you have to think between pages and I needed lots of breaks? I even lost it on holiday and just had to re-buy it! 📚📚 📚📚 It was worth it, definitely recommend this. (Link to my review in bio!) Naomi Klein gives the reader a lot to consider. No Logo briefs on how big brands are built (smoke, mirrors and adverts) and more interestingly, focuses is on who is exploited for these brands and capitalism to succeed. Great if you were a nineties kid and want to know exactly what MTV (ironically- MTV was doing all the stuff in the book ) was rebelling against.     • A few titles I’ve been enjoying... started In Our Mad And Furious City this weekend, will put up a review when I’m done! It opens with an event that seems to be based on the Lee Rigby murder of 2013 and how frightening it was because the perpetrator was so recognisable in London Youth.
